Jaldoot, an unmanned surface vessel Defence PSU Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has officially handed over the "Jaldoot" Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) to the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) in Visakhapatnam, following successful completion of its trials. The vessel, delivered after acceptance trials from October 17-21, was jointly designed and developed by GRSE and NSTL/DRDO for survey and communication missions. Featuring compact dimensions and lightweight design, the USV is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and supports waypoint navigation, station-keeping, and failsafe operations.
